Keyhole Buttonhole machines: which one? - The Basic Apprentices' Forum - The Cutter and Tailor
Hi, I'm looking at to buy a keyhole buttonhole machine, and wanted to know what others are victimization or would recommend. Are there action I should be search out for, so I don't buy a lemon? All the suits I've seen seem to bartack them (below). They almostall need a specialiser car mending bod to deal with any problems that arise. From my readings, it seems the popular machines are the Reece 101 and 104. I'm assuming, then, that if I get the Reece 101, I'd need to buy a bartack machine, as well, right (oh, man, that's going to get beautiful expensive! Our regular sewing machine mechanic doesn't manner the one at work. Here's the machine: I wonder if I should passing game on it and wait for additional machine (perhaps the Reece 104..came across a Singer U123). I may go see it, but have no idea what to look for. It is a lot of medium of exchange for an old single use grapheme of machine.
